Update: Lightning fast video and audio previews at source quality

Yes, you’ve read that correctly. Once the files are completely uploaded, previews for web friendly formats like MP4 and M4A will appear almost instantaneously.

Video and audio previews now up to 70% faster on major modern web browsers

In November last year, we announced that the latest versions of the Digital Pigeon desktop app are capable of generating previews for video and audio files roughly 70% faster than previously, thanks to the addition of codecs to play H264 and AAC-based content (often wrapped up in the MP4 container).

Create unique file receiving links with Digital Pigeon

We’re unveiling a new feature to make it easier for our users to create individual pages to receive files! You can set these unique pages for your own specific needs – but we’ve included some examples how they may be used below. Prior to this update, users could have an account-level receive link, plus one for each team member if the account had multiple users.

Drag and drop files from your computer, directly into an upload

At Digital Pigeon we love a good drag and drop function, and we’re pretty sure you will too.

You can now upload files straight from your computer by using the drag and drop function. Use it to create a new upload or add the files into an existing upload.

Blue badge notifications make activity tracking even easier

Do you find you lose track of what’s happening with your files? Who’s provided feedback? Who’s previewed what? In today’s world – there’s so much multi-tasking going on… it’s bound to happen!

To help, we’ve added blue notification badges to the Digital Pigeon interface. They keep count of files downloaded, files received, and comments added since you last viewed them.

Use Google Drive for File Storage? We’ve got an integration for that now!

For those of you have been using Digital Pigeon for a while now, you will have noticed we are nicely integrated with Dropbox.

The way we see it, Dropbox is great for file storage (particularly for our types of clients who have huge amounts of data!) but it’s “light on” when it comes to file sharing, feedback, your own custom branding, etc.
