Vulnerability Actively Being Exploited
Description: Joomla! has released a critical security advisory to
address a remote code execution vulnerability. This flaw manifests due
to browser information not being filtered properly when session values
are saved to the database. This vulnerability has been identified by
researchers at Securi and is under active exploitation by adversaries.
Joomla! versions 1.5 to 3.4 have been identified as vulnerable and users
are strongly encouraged to apply the patches as soon as possible.

Title: Cisco Issues Two Advisories for Java Deserialization and Prime
Collaboration Assurance Vulnerabilities
Description: Cisco has issued two security advisories for Java
deserialization and Prime Collaboration Assurance vulnerabilities in
various products. One advisory addresses the Java deserialization
vulnerability within the Apache Commons Collections library that is
utilized in multiple Cisco products. A remote, unauthenticated attacker
could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on a targeted
system. The other advisory addresses a default account credential flaw
in Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance (PCA) software. A remote,
unauthenticated attacker could “log in to the system shell with the
default ‘cmuser’ user account and access the shell with a limited set
of permissions.” Cisco has released a software update to address these
vulnerabilities.
